Scientific paper

Papers are presented on such topics as the chemical evolution of the members of the Local Group, RR Lyrae variables as indicators of chemical inhomogeneities in the galactic halo, element mixing in the interstellar medium, and metal abundances in Population II stars. Also considered are isotopic anomalies in the solar system and the galactic mixing time scale, a possible scenario for the morphological differentiation of galaxies, and single novae and interstellar accretion on white dwarfs.
