We argue that the isotopic anomalies in galactic cosmic rays, which remain after correction of the propagation effects, result from the fact that most of the cosmic rays come from the inner galactic regions where the metallicity is higher. Higher metallicity not only change the chemical composition of the matter injected in the cosmic rays by the Wolf-Rayet stars and the supernovae but also modifies the relative contribution of these two sources.
