We present refined basic parameters of the anticenter, intermediate-aged open cluster NGC 2423 using broad band photometry. Observations were made using the S2KB CCD during January 2003 in U, B, V, R and I filters with the WIYN 0.9m telescope in a central 20'x20' field. Photometry was performed using DAOPHOT II, allowing for spatially-dependent PSF's and aperture corrections, and including iterative neighbor subtraction. Using multiple color-color diagrams, we find E(B-V) = 0.10+/-0.01+/-sys mag and [Fe/H] = -0.07+/-0.03+/-sys. Application of Yale-Yonsei (2002) isochrones to multiple color-magnitude diagrams yields m-M = 10.05+/-0.05+/-sys mag, D = 885 +/-20+/-sys pc and an age of 950 +/-25+/-sys Myr. This REU (Indiana Site) project falls under the auspices of the WIYN Open Cluster Study (WOCS), a collaboration between Indiana University, Yale University, the University of Wisconsin, and the National Optical Astronomical Obsevatory (NOAO). This work is supported by NSF Grants AST-0139617 and AST-0206202.
