We present new high signal to noise (100-400 per pixel), high resolution (R=20,000) spectra of 122 F, G and K dwarfs in the Hyades-aged open cluster, NGC6633. These data were taken with the Hydra spectrograph on the WIYN 3.5-m telescope and are intended to illuminate patterns of Li depletion on the main sequence in open clusters. Selection of stars was based on photometry, radial velocities and proper motion. Previous studies on this cluster have determined Li abundances for only 30 G and K stars, and hint at main sequence Li depletion, a scenario that is forbidden by standard stellar theory (i.e., no rotation, no mass loss, no diffusion, no magnetic fields). While the age dependence of main sequence Li depletion has previously been studied, here, we aim to examine the dependence of Li depletion on composition at a given age by comparing our NGC 6633 data ([Fe/H] ˜ -0.1; to be re-determined spectroscopically) to Li data of the metal-rich Hyades cluster ([Fe/H] = 0.15). Additionally, we will compare to another Hyades-aged cluster, NGC 2539 (see our other poster). This work is supported by the National Science Foundation through grant AST-0206202.
