We present broad band photometry of the young open cluster M34. Observations were made under photometric conditions in the B, V, R, and I filters with the Kitt Peak 0.9m telescope in each of five 23'x23' fields, one centered on the cluster and four comprising a 2x2 montage. Thus, the total coverage is about 40'x40', representing the largest area of this cluster studied to date with CCDs. PSF photometry was performed using DAOPHOT. We present revised values for the age, distance, and reddening of the cluster. This project falls under the auspices of the WIYN Open Cluster Study (WOCS), a collaboration between Indiana University, Yale University, the University of Wisconsin, and the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO). Our results will be used by WIYN/Hydra spectroscopic studies that will follow, to investigate the kinematics and chemical abundances of stars in the cluster. This work is supported by NSF Grant AST-9812735 (to CPD).
