The Web Interface for Searching Archival Research Data (WISARD) was developed to assist researchers with multi-wavelength, multi-mission, and multi-archives access. WISARD is designed to allow users to search one or more mission logs simultaneously, and then, as available obtain object information from SIMBAD and/or NED, access browser images of the data, and request the data from one of several archives. WISARD uses the SIMBAD, NED, and ADS archives for astronomical object and bibliographic information (including and in addition to name to coordinate conversion), and the STScI DADS, HEASARC, EUVE Public Archive, and NDADS archives for science data access. Since WISARD retains a session context between pages, users are able to modify and refine search criteria as well as revisit their earlier custom built pages. Recently WISARD has been expanded to include access to additional archives (STScI and HEASARC in addition to NDADS and EUVE), additional mission logs (dataset catalogs), and more quick look data browsers. This latest expansion in WISARD's capabilities includes several user requested features, the "express" search, handling multiple objects in one search, and faster response time. Other new items are the capability to directly access remote databases in addition to WISARD's internal copies of mission logs (dataset catalogs) - allowing for a distributed service, and the use of object-oriented programming where appropriate. SIMBAD access is provided in collaboration with the SIMBAD project, Centre de Donnees astronomiques de Strasbourg (CDS), France. NED access is provided in collaboration with the NED project, IPAC.
