A great many 'red herring' theories have been proposed over the last 20 years, some of which have succumbed to experimental test. In many cases, they are/were motivated by theoretical advantages over the Standard Model of particle physics. Recently, an empirical Standard Model of cosmology has begun to evolve. The fundamental motivation remains to unify gravitation and QC/ED, into what is commonly called a "Theory of Everything". Experimental verification of any such theory through High Energy experimentation remains a dim prospect, given the extreme accuracy of the Standard Model of particle physics. Observational verification of any such theory must consistently explain several, apparently disparate results. Beginning with the classical 'flat-world' analogy, I shall discuss the prime drawback of flat matrix algebras (and the brilliance of Dirac in having found one that works for particle theory). I shall re-introduce a 3D matrix algebra which also works to achieve QC/ED unification. What appears to be a dificiency from the experimental particle theorists viewpoint will be shown to be a crucial advantage from the standpoint of causality in non-commutative matrix algebras. A proposal for a theoretical architecture which comprehensively addresses all currently known experimental & observational results will be presented. (http://www-astro-theory.fnal.gov/Conferences/cosmo02/poster/lundberg.pdf) The potential benefits of focused theoretical research, by several current theoretical camps, shall be discussed. Each of these are referenced in direct relation to the proposed theoretical architecture. Much of the mathematics presented will be accessible to physics teachers and undergraduates, in hopes that they can better orient themselves to publicly presented theories.
