The pattern of the average mightiness of large sunspot groups, determined from Greenwich and Pulkovo catalogues of large sunspot groups, indicates that the minimum of the 80-year period of sunspot groups occurred in 11-year cycle no. 20, and that 11-year cycles no. 21 and 22 are already on the ascending branch of the 80-year period. The significance of this fact for prognosticating the height of the maxima in the future 11-year cycles is discussed.
