The topological and geometric properties of an evolving universe with a cosmological constant are considered within the framework of Hawking quantum cosmology. The probabilities for the creation of the universe with a different topology (including a torus, a sphere, and hyperbolic space) are calculated. The topologies are found to be equally probable for an inflating universe. The probability of a quantum change in the topology during the evolution of the universe is calculated.
