We present our preliminary analysis of archival Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 observations in F606W ( V) and F814W ( I) of the Draco dwarf spheroidal galaxy. We compare the Draco color-magnitude diagram with fiducial sequences of ancient metal-poor Galactic globular clusters in order to investigate the early star-formation history of this nearby satellite galaxy of the Milky Way.
