With the Chandra X-ray Observatory, we have detected emission close to the cores of 3C129 and M84. In both cases, only one side of the double jet is detected, with an intensity ratio (detected side/undetected side) greater than 2. The X-ray detected side is also brighter in the radio on these small scales. Thus the X-ray detected side is likely to be closer to the line of sight than the undetected jet. We compare the implications of synchrotron and inverse Compton emission processes for the X-rays. The work at the CfA is partially supported by a NASA grant to Chandra observers, GO1-2135A.
