Solitary waves, steady periodic waves, and shock waves in a degenerate
electron-nuclear plasma are considered. It is shown that allowance for
relativistic effects and the degeneracy of the electrons does not
quantitatively change the nature of such waves but merely influences the
determination of the basic parameters.
