Universe: Large-Scale Structure, Numerical Methods
Scientific paper
The wavelet transformation borrowed from signal analysis compresses and analyses the correlation information obtained from complex hierarchical processes in a new way. It reveals information on scaling and clustering. Examples of complex processes to be discussed are fully developed turbulence, high-energetic QCD multiparticle dynamics, large-scale structure formation in the universe and critical phenomena.
