Atomic Data, Line: Identification

Scientific paper

The wavelength and isotope shift of the B II resonance line at 1362 A, generally used for the determination of the boron abundance and the cosmic 10 B/ 11 B ratio, have been measured in the laboratory with high accuracy. The corresponding data for the B II 2s2p 3P-2p2 3P multiplet at 1624 A are also reported. The measurements are supported by calculations, which also provide oscillator strengths.
