The cyclic behavior of the yearly values of Wolf numbers is analyzed as a uniform Markovian process with two possible states which correspond to an increase or a decrease in value. The method of analysis is briefly outlined and illustrated. An ultralong-period forecast of increases and decreases in yearly Wolf numbers is made for the period from 1970 to 1996.
