Aureol-3 data on the three magnetic components in the 10-130 Hz range are used to investigate the wave characteristics of the recorded low-frequency emissions. The power spectra of the components are analyzed. It is shown that, as the L parameter increases, there is an increase in the frequency interval for which the plane-wave approximation is valid.
