The possibility of observing Comet Austin in April and May, 1990, is discussed. The factors affecting the observing conditions are examined, including the position of the comet and moonlight. It is found that the optimal time for observing Comet Austin is after perihelion on April 9, 1990. The orbit of the comet is illustrated and plots are given, showing the comet's altitude and azimuth from February to May, 1990.
