High resolution spectra of a magnified bulge star were obtained at the 8 m Kueyen VLT-UT2 telescope with the UVES spectrograph. The source is a bulge giant of baseline magnitude VEROS = 18.4, magnified to V ~ 18.0. These data allow us to derive the stellar parameters of effective temperature Teff ~ 3800 K, gravity log g ~ 1.0, reddening E(B-V) ~ 0.7, metallicity [Fe/H] ~ -0.3 and and [O/Fe] ~ 0.0 for EROS-BLG-2000-5. The giant appears to be located in the far side of the bulge. Observations collected at the European Southern Observatory - ESO, Paranal, Chile; ESO proposal No. 65.L-0340.
