Orion A, being one of the closest molecular clouds, is the most intensely studied and interesting region for the study of early stellar evolution. High-resolution very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations have been conducted by Hansen et al. (1977), taking into account the OH maser spectral features. The present investigation is concerned with the relationship of the ground-state OH masers to other molecules, compact continuum radiation, and infrared emission. For a study of this relationship, maps have been made of the 2pi(3/2)J=3/2 F=1 to 2 and F=1 to 1 transitions in Orion A. Orion was observed with the partially completed Very Large Array (VLA) on March 20, 1980. It is concluded that the ground-state OH maser radiation associated with Orion A lies in an area of 8 sec x 3 sec along a position angle of 70 deg and is centered on the position of IRc2. The masers occur in two groups.
