We present high angular resolution (0.1'') VLA observations at 7 mm and 3.6 cm wavelength toward the planetary nebula with bipolar morphology IC 4997. At 7mm we detect a compact central structure possibly associated with the inner core reported by Miranda and Torrelles (1998). We discuss if dust is present, and using observations at other frequencies with similar angular resolution it was possible to derived the spectral index. If a dust disk is the responsible of the collimation in this object the size should be very small, < 200 AU.
