Radiants determined by visual observations reported to the Nippon Meteor Society (NMS) were studies. Plotted on star charts, they were compared with the radiants obtained by double-station meteor observations. The relationship between the visual angular velocities and the observed velocities was investigated. Furthermore, detection tests on meteor streams associated with minor planets were conducted. The results showed that the visual observation technique was sufficient to detect minor meteor streams, even though the method is simple.
