Visual Binaries: Orbit Determination
Scientific paper
The authors present a method for determining orbital elements of visual binaries from observed relative positions. This method is especially suitable for deriving preliminary orbits, and they called it the method of falsified observation (FO) (Ćatović, Olević, 1992). Here they give extensive discussion of theoretical and practical merits of the proposed method.
