From MESSENGER X-ray measurements, Mercury’s crust is comparable
to terrestrial komatiites. At the Planetary Emissivity Laboratory (PEL)
we measured the VIS and IR spectra of a terrestrial komatiite sample
under a range of environmental conditions.
