The author provides a database system together with a software which helps observers handle and utilize their observations, allows preliminary analysis of the data for direct feed-back to the observers' skills, and exports to other databases such as the VMDB and POSDAT. In contrast to those systems, the VISDAT package presented here preserves the complete information of an observing session.
