Very high and ultra-high-energy gamma-ray fluxes expected from giant molecular clouds, and the prospects of detection of these fluxes by means of air Cherenkov telescopes and EAS arrays of new generation, are discussed. It is shown that forthcoming VHE and UHE gamma-ray detectors will permit a search for gamma rays from molecular clouds and genetically connect them with star-formation regions.
