VERITAS, the Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System, started routine operation in April, 2007. Located in southern Arizona, VERITAS is an array of four 12m atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes operating in the very-high-energy gamma-ray regime between approximately 100 GeV and 30 TeV. The scientific program at VERITAS is broad and includes observations of active galactic nuclei, supernova remnants, pulsar wind nebulae, and dark matter candidates, as well as a survey of the Cygnus region of the Galaxy. The status and performance of VERITAS and its latest scientific results are described here.
