Pictures of the Venus landscape transmitted from Venus are presented. A summary of known facts about Venus is included, as are also comparative data on the atmospheres of Earth, Mars and Venus, together with a diagram of comparative altitudinal distributions of all three atmospheres up to 88 km. It is noted that at 50-55 km altitude, Venus conditions (pressure, atmosphere) resemble those of earth.
