The relative abundance of images acquired from the Pioneer Venus Orbiter Cloud Photopolarimeter (OCPP) experiment during the 1982 imaging opportunity makes it possible to measure cloud motions over a wide range of solar longitudes (Limaye et al. 1988). Preliminary results of such dependence have been presented by Grassotti (1986) and Limaye (1986). More detailed results of the solar longitude dependence of these motions as a function of latitude are presented in this paper. Additionally the signature of the solar influence on the day-side cloud structure of Venus as seen in the ultraviolet OCPP images was also investigated and is also presented.
