The weak Fraunhofer lines in the near wings of H, K Ca II lines have been analysed to study the velocity amplitude of the general velocity field in the middle and outer photospheric layers. The results confirm the basic well-known data on the velocity amplitude in the middle photospheric layers. Besides, it is shown that the radial and tangential components of the velocity amplitude continue to decrease with height also in the outer photosphere.
