The existence of a bullet cluster (such as 1E0657-56) poses a challenge to the concordance Lambda cold dark matter model. Here we investigate the velocity distribution of dark matter halos in a large N-body simulations. We examine various basic statistics and the relative velocities of DM halos in the simulations, and compare the results to the observed relative velocity of 1E0657-56, which has a shock velocity of 4740 km/s. Our preliminary result suggests that there are no pairs with such a high relative velocity in a volume of (1 h-1 Gpc)3. We discuss the implications of our results, future plans, and possible problems.
