In accordance with the cascade model, the observed gamma radiation from the nuclei of active galaxies and quasars is produced by electron-photon cascades formed when the high-energy particles generated within the source pass through the active region of its X-ray radiation. Within the framework of this model, calculations are made of the gamma spectrum variations of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 4151 and the quasar 3C 273 due to the variability of the X-ray emission of these sources. The results are found to be consistent with the available experimental data.
