Data from the Raduga geostationary satellites is analyzed with the aim of identifying periodic and aperiodic components of the relativistic electron flux of the outer radiation belt and investigating the nature of these electrons. Spectral analysis revealed variations with periods from 1 hour to 1.5 years. The electron-intensity data are compared with data on geomagnetic activity and quasi-stationary perturbations of the solar wind. The most likely sources of electron variations in the magnetosphere are discussed.
