A photographic survey of variable stars brighter than V = 18 in an area of 21.4 square degrees towards the South Galactic Cap has been completed. Altogether 58 B plates and 35 V plates were measured to provide photometric data for a time series analysis. Periods and light curves have been obtained for six RR Lyrae variables. Four of the RR Lyrae variables had been discovered previously and improved elements of light variation were derived.
