A light curve for the object IV Zw 29, the first Seyfert galaxy found to vary irregularly in brightness, has been constructed for the period 1967-1981. Magnitude estimates for the galaxy are shown, measurements made within intervals of five successive nights having been averaged. The B magnitude of the galaxy fluctuated between 16.5 m and 18.3 m over the observational period, with peaks in the light curve occurring in 1968, 1972, and 1980, separated by broad dips. The rise to maximum tends to be considerably more gradual than the subsequent decline. Particularly steep declines were observed after the 1972 and 1980 maxima; by the start of 1982, the galaxy had become faint again. Superimposed on these long-term fluctuations there seem to be some individual flares with a time scale of roughly 100 days.
