Signal field potentials measured along some midlatitude and high-latitude radio lines are compared with the values predicted by newly developed models of regular and auroral absorption. The model predictions and experimental results are in satisfactory agreement for both mean monthly values and specific daily values, depending on the level of disturbance. The results demonstrate the validity of the auroral and regular absorption models.
