The morphology of a multiringed structure is refined and used to obtain
data on basin formation. It is proposed that a basin is analogous to a
lunar mascon formed on an ice satellite. A system of standing waves is
generated during the flow of mantle water material. The multiring
structure is formed as the water freezes.
