The spectrum of V3955 Sgr was studied on eight objective-prism plates taken in 1969, 1970, and 1978. It exhibits characteristics of the RV Tauri and SRd variables. The star was apparently observed near maximum in 1978 and near minimum in 1970. The photographic magnitude near maximum and minimum is estimated to be 11.5 and 12.5, respectively. The radial velocity near maximum light is about -250 km/s. The star is probably an SRd variable.
