Strömgren photometric measurements of HR 5488 obtained on 19 nights during three consecutive years confirm the β Cep character of the star. Phase dispersion minimization analysis of all observations was performed, and three oscillation frequencies were found. The largest amplitude oscillation with frequency f = 7.84004 c/d forms a frequency triplet with two other small amplitude oscillations. In the c0-β plane, HR 5488 is situated close to the lower boundary of the β Cep strip.
