Phase dependent observations of CS lines in Zeta Aur/VV Cep systems were compared with detailed line profile calculations in the escape probability approximation. The scattering lines were treated in terms of the Sobolev method. For the line source function the escape probability method was used in a two level approximation. The emergent flux is calculated by formal integration of the radiative transfer equation in the observer's frame. Remarkable agreement between theoretical and observed profiles, confirming the reliability of analysis based on the line transfer scheme, is found.
