High spatial resolution UV spectroscopy will be obtained of sub-arcsecond structure in the nuclear regions of a sample of X-ray selected Seyfert 1 galaxies. Modelling of ASCA X-ray spectra indicates that this sample may possess an intrinsic warm absorber. The existence of this absorber appears to be correlated with intrinsic absorption in the ultraviolet; indications are that the two are physically linked. We will obtain UV spectroscopy to search for and isolate the intrinsic absorption components of Lya, NV, SiIV, CIV, MgII and other ions. The data obtained from these observations will be used to model the nature of the intrinsic absorber by determining column densities, outflow velocities, and covering factors.
