Before the discovery of the X-ray flux from supernova 1987A in August 1987 the region of the Large Magellanic Cloud was several times observed in 1987 by a number of X-ray instruments. The strongest upper limits on X-ray emission from SN 1987A in 2 - 32 keV energy band in June - August 1987 are obtained by the TTM telescope on the "Mir" - "Kvant" observatory "Roentgen".
