GD358 is the prototype helium atmosphere (DB) white dwarf pulsator. Its rich pulsation spectrum reveals multiple modes and numerous combination frequencies. GD358 is also the most observed object in its class, having been a target in 4 WET runs. The most recent observations, in May 2006, were obtained with thegoal of using the nonlinear pulse shapes to empirically determine the parameters of the convection zone. These observations also reveal interesting hints of the importance of magnetic fields on the pulsations. We present initial results of our convection analysis, and present evidence for the presence of a local magnetic field in GD358.
