An unsharp masking technique used on enlarged astronomical images is described. Easel preparation, mask making, making of the corrected interpositive, and multiple exposure techniques are outlined. Exposure and processing steps have more latitude compared to traditional methods, while registration is accomplished with simple tools. Added flexibility in terms of contrast control when making the corrected interpositive is achieved.
