Celestial Mechanics: Kalman Filter, Gps, Orbit Determination
Scientific paper
This paper discusses the problem in using the Extended Kalman filter to estimate the state of one nonlinear system. And the Unscented Kalman filter is briefly introduced, which is widely used today in the field of automatic control. In the situation that the system dynamics equations and the measurement equations are highly nonlinear, the Unscented Kalman filter is brought forward to process the orbit of GPS-based satellite. A real example was performed, and the results show that the performance of the Unscented Kalman filter is superior to that of the Extended Kalman filter.
