We have detected in deep CFHT images a pair of tidal tails extending over one degree around the distant globular cluster Palomar 14. Their characteristic S-shape and association with an extended power-law departure from the usual density profile makes this surprising detection unambiguous. We briefly discuss the mechanisms that could give rise to these tails at such large galactocentric distances and the implications for the nature of this globular cluster.
