The solar ultraviolet influx continuously incident on the Jovian atmosphere gives rise to a photoelectron distribution in the Jovian atmosphere. Taking the Jovian neutral gas density and the flux of solar ultraviolet radiation from Pioneer-10 measurements, the ultraviolet emission produced by excited atoms and molecules have been computed. The height profiles for volume emission rates of H I Ly-alpha (1216 A) and He I (584 A) resonance lines have been computed and compared with earlier results.
