Ultra High Energy Cosmic rays (UHECR) origin remains a mystery, the most promising theoretical candidates for their sources are FRII (powerful AGN) as continuous emitting sources and GRB and magnetars as bursting sources. During their propagation UHECR may suffer deflections from EGMF (extragalactic magnetic field ), those deflections are described as an accumulation of scattering events and the notion of optical depth of the Universe to UHECR is introduced. We study the opacity effect on the distribution of UHECR arrival directions and discuss the Auger observatory results in this context.
