Results of UBVR-photometry of the optical component of the x-ray binary A0535 + 26 from 1986-1989 are given. Photometric characteristics of the object are compared with those of the previous period and an analysis of the brightness curve is made. Excess radiation, i.e. that not connected with the Be-star, is determined, and its spectral distribution analyzed. In the framework of the accretion disk model the electron density in the radiating region is estimated. Observational features that appear to conflict with this model are indicated.
