UBV photoelectric observations are presented for the SMC eclipsing binaries HV 1620 and HV 1669. The observations are corrected for crowding using data obtained from CCD frames of the surrounding fields. The light curves are solved with the Wilson-Devinney (1971) program using a systematic grid-search technique. Preliminary absolute dimensions are computed and the evolutionary status of both systems discussed. It is noted that none of the five systems in the Magellanic Clouds that have been studied in detail appear to be in contact.
