Three colour UBV photometry of the symbiotic binary AG Dra during its last eruption in 1998 and afterwards was obtained. One brightening of the star was detected which was followed by a decline to the quiescent magnitude. The increased U light in the quiescent phase of the orbital minimum is concluded to be due to mass outflow from the hot companion during the active phase as well as variations of the giant's mass-loss rate.
